Display settings from remote connection

 I have purchased a Dell FPM185 KVM as my other monitor went out and I am getting an out of range error. Is it possible to adjust display settings remotely? I am able to access the system remotely from a laptop but I do not have a spare monitor to be able to try and set the display settings. I would like to keep the server on and not have to reboot into safe mode as some posts have suggested.

You'll probably need a console session or possibly via an idrac session.
