In RS3, Nano is now a container OS only. All infrastructure roles will be removed and no longer for physical or virtual machines.

Hi Terry,

Nano starting Windows Server, version 1709 (aka RS3) is targeted for containers only. Please see this blog post that explains the context:

As such, in Windows Server, version 1709 release, Server Core is the OS you want to use for platform technologies like clustering and S2D.
