Hardening reduces security risk by eliminating potential attack vectors and condensing a system’s attack surface. It is an integral part of Windows monthly security updates. Recently, Namrata Bachwani published a blog post that outlines vulnerable areas that are undergoing hardening through the end of 2023. Currently on the “hardening calendar” are Kerberos PAC signatures, Netlogon protocol, and certificate-based authentication.

This is a good post to bookmark as it will be updated with the latest developments and dates!
