cmdlet Remove-TransportRule is not present in the role definition of the current user

Copper Contributor

I am hoping someone can help me. I have logged into O365 Exchange as the Global admin but still, I am not able to delete Rule or connectors.

In PowerShell, when I run the command Remove-TransportRule, it throws an error: The term "Remove-TransportRule" is not recognised as the name of cmdlet.

When using the interface, it complains that I cmdlet Remove-TransportRule is not present in the role definition of the current user.

Any help and suggestion is highly appreciated.

Global Admin is an Organization Management member by default, so that should work... Could you verify this from the https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/#/adminRoles page? You could create a role group for the Transport Rules role and add yourself in it?

@Harm_VeenstraThank you very much for the pointers.  For some strange reason Global Admin has dropped out of Organization Management.  Added admin to Organization management fixed the problem.

Strange :grinning_face_with_sweat:glad to hear that it's fixed, please mark my answer as solution to mark this as solved
