Automate Windows Application through PowerShell

Hi, 

I would like to automate the complete installation of an application that would involve running an exe file and invoking buttons like "Next" as well as entering text. Can someone guide me on how that will be possible as currently, I'm having trouble invoking buttons and entering text through PowerShell.
