My Windows Update > "Update Status" page says:
"We'll automatically install updates when you aren't using your device, or you can install them now if you want".
(Image)
What I want it to say is "Updates are ready to install" (example image)
How can I configure my server so it doesn't automatically install updates (but that it does download them automatically)?
I've tried:
gpedit.msc > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > "Configure Automatic Updates" (screenshot)
It was set to "Not Configured" and I changed it to this (3 - Auto download and notify for install)
But even after saving that local group policy setting the windows update status page hasn't changed. Do I need to reboot for this to take effect? Or maybe it will take effect next month?
Thank you~!

Updates installed automatically this morning at 4:30am
On the other hand, the status now says "Updates are ready to install" .
So maybe it needed a reboot? I'll monitor for awhile and see if next month it is any different.
