You can update in-place using the ISO, but first disconnect all external drives, and other devices, headphones, camera, etc.

Download Windows Insider Preview ISO (microsoft.com)

i'm on insider beta build 22635.2483 and don't see the option for build 22635 from the list of ISOs

Yes, there is no ISO for the Beta channel

i've downloaded the 22631 build from the ISO list and it worked.
