Windows 11 Audio Issues

Brass Contributor

I have a number of audio Issues on insider.

Several months ago my USB audio through my USB hub disappeared after an update. I t has not come back - no idea what I can do about this.

My Realtek audio has disappeared several times after an update and I have to install it manually. Just did this after the last update and this is working

  • Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
  • NameRTKVHD64.sys
  • Version 6.0.9354.1
  • Date 5/17/2022

But now my Microphoen "disappears" after a shutdown - still reports as running but no sound - restart fixes it.

Windows Insider is under testing and development and such issues are expected.
I advise you to report them using the Feedback Hub app.
Did you download drivers from Windows Update or device manufacturer's website?
Realtek has had a lot of issues with software and Driver compatibility but hopefully this will help you get it running again. https://allthings.how/how-to-fix-realtek-audio-issues-in-windows-11/

@Ian Cunningham insider builds are very unstable and mostly stay in beta versions u can try to roll back the windows version to a previous stable build, insider builds aren't always best choice and sometimes if icons are missing from task bar it's usually windows has removed icons to save space because it doesn't want to load all icons 🤣🤣🤣🤣
