Windows 11 22000.100 Thinkpad P1 Gen 2 not charging

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I have installed the windows 11 insider preview in the beta channel. Since this update, I am no longer able to change my laptop. The laptop still works on battery, but it keeps draining without the ability to charge it, not when powered off nor on. I am currently stuck on 3%. Charging always worked fine on windows 10. I am using the official Lenovo 135 watt charger.

Here is a screenshot of the battery drainage from the past 7 days. Weirdly is shows that 2 days ago it did charge to 100%, but I am not able to reconstruct charging the battery.

Specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
Geïnstalleerd RAM-geheugen 16,0 GB (15,7 GB beschikbaar)

Type systeem 64-bits besturingssysteem, x64-processor
Pen en aanraken Pen- of aanraakinvoer is niet beschikbaar voor dit beeldscherm

EDIT

I just did a battery reset (pressing a pin in the back of my laptop) and it works fine again. Sorry for the inconvenience :)

No never had any issues in windows 10.

I will try Lenovo support thanks

There might be an issue with firmware or driver detecting the charging status, make sure share the issue using Feedback Hub app, so the Windows team would be able to investigate.
