Hi, I've recently started getting this message occasionally on shutting down the computer. Not sure why. I'm not enrolled on an Insider programme. I did install one of these Previews offered in Windows Updates about 6 months ago - could this be the cause? If so, how do I get rid of this? I checked and I'm NOT enrolled on the Insider programme.

@Reza_Ameri . Thanks for the reply. I had no updates to download, Ran trouble-shooter and it detected problems and sorted them:

Ran Updater again - no new updates.
What I don't understand is how I get this green screen for Windows Insider programme when I'm not enrolled on it. Does this Preview Update enroll you without your permission? If so, the Insider Programme says my email address is not enrolled

The decisive thing is what kind of build you have now, without this information it is impossible to answer.

This is the excerpt you shared - the seller has upgraded to the Insider version - this is how it happens sometimes.
This is the stable version = download the installation assistant - this is the easiest way:

I'm running Win 11 Pro and always have been and had no problems for 10 months till now
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 22H2
Installed on 27/01/2023
OS build 22621.2861
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0
There's clearly something wrong with the Troubleshooter - it claims to have sorted a problem, then finds the same "problem" every time I run it

So downloading the update assistant from the official site is a good idea = it will prepare the components for the installation of 23H2 Windows11 and you should be fine.
But before that, restart your computer.

@A1-A1 OK - I give up - where do I find the Update Assistant? Hav e been searching for 15 min

In the link above download windows - this is the first installation method , it will only update so it's safe, but before that pause the updates for 7 days and in a few minutes resume downloading the update, I wonder if it will update properly?

@A1-A1- what link?
Are you suggesting installing Windows?
Ah! I see the link om my tablet - didn't see it on the PC! Is it safe to install over my current installation?
What order did you want me to do things? You mention download, pause updates, then resume downloading the update - not sure what you want me to do in what order

At the very end, download the installation assistant if nothing works for you before.
Installation Assistant (in this case, it's just an update without changing the settings, etc.) of course there may also be a bug, but then it will go back to the current version windows)

@A1-A1 Doesnt work - first Bitdefender decided one of the files was a virus, so I turned off all parts of Bitdefender, but it still freaks out

Don't worry, you'll be fine, download updates from the Microsoft Store, leave your computer powered overnight.
Take your time, this mistake is nothing serious 🙂

@A1-A1 Restarted the two service, ran bat file, tried to install several times and freaks out at about 73% each time with the same error.
I actually think I'm up to date for the UK

Uninstall unnecessary apps, disconnect external drives, speakers, wireless mouse, etc.
