Problem with Xbox 360 controllers from OS build 25987.1000 and beyond

I'm using an Xbox 360 Controller to play games on my system. After updating to OS Build 25987.1000, I noticed that my controller just stopped working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers too, but it didn't solve the issue. So I rolled back my OS to 25982.1000 where it was working flawlessly. I kept it on this build for a while, after which I saw there was an update for 25992.1000. I updated it thinking it might fix the issue but it didn't. Now the issue I'm facing is a controller that doesn't work on the build I'm on, and neither can I go back to OS Build 25982.1000 (the latest OS build on which the controller was working) as it is 2 OS update older now.

I do not own a newer controller, so I can't test if it's the same issue with other controllers. Also, yes, my controller is 100% working as the earlier build (25982.1000) works fine with it, and other computers detect the controller just fine.

Update: I updated my OS to 25997.1000 and the issue is still persistent
i am using a logitech f710 wireless controller configured as Xbox 360 wireless device on the pc version. I know that my controller is working because it does so in retroarch as well as in other emulators such as Bluestacks. Shortly after the last update, i have not been able to use my controller for Starfield. I then purchased an Xbox 360 wireless and it is not working with any Microsoft Game products. I did a rollback to build 25977 and they both work fine
