look for the sound icon on the videos or music your looking at and ensure they are not mute.
occasionly you see the icon on the actual webpage tab.
if that does not appeared to be the cause close off everything your listening too pull your speaker cords or head phone sets out the computer wait and restart your computer then replug the cords into the correct slot and wait then restart your computer then check you have sound on the programs your not getting sounds.
