New Icons on WIndows 10 19569.1000

Copper Contributor

Good evening. I download and installed Windows 10 Insider preview now, version 19569.1000, and it was supposed to have new icons for some windows applications, but i don't have. Make the upgrade, but still have the same old icons from the previous version of Windows 10 Insider. May some one help me with this? Thanks in advance.

the build 19569.1000 was supposed to be installed by January 1st,2020

I installed only today. It's different if i installed on January, 1st? Isn't the same Build? Shouldn't work equal, with new Fluent icons?

@VersafixI think your problem is fixed now? :)

btw here is all of the new fluent design icons ^^

I have all of them except for Sticky notes, Snip & Sketch and Maps.

for anyone reading this, you have to go to Windows Store and update your apps.

cheers.

@Versafix You need to make sure you update the apps from the Store as well.

And the new Mail Icon killed the live tile functionality in tablet mode for me. Forced obsolescence?@HotCakeX

Correction: After switching the live tile off and on a number of times it started updating again @Jacques Van de Meerssche

In the last webcast on Mixer, they explained they are looking for ways to replace the Start menu with a version that doesn't use live tiles

@HotCakeX

That's not what we said.  There are no plans to eliminate live tiles.

For anyone curious to the conversation, please review the VOD of the webcast here:

So these websites are lying?

and this

https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/3/21163687/microsoft-new-windows-10-start-menu-design-live-tiles-cha...

and I didn't say you are going to eliminate it. I said you are looking for ways to replace it.

@HotCakeX

I'm the host of the Windows Insider webcast.  I'll simply ask that you watch the video for yourself and see/hear firsthand what was said.

But as an important note, it's explicitly called out that live tiles are still a thing.  And please see attached image of a quote from the article you've noted below.

I was online when the webcast was happening live, unfortunately Mixer website is very slow and laggy, I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes.
my connection speed is high. I can watch YouTube 8K 60FPS without any lags. but on Mixer, everything is so slow. I will see if I can download the stream and watch it from a media player on my PC.
