I recently noticed lagging in my laptop and when I checked Task Manager the CPU was 100% and it was (windows modules installer worker) taking the highest percentage, and the update it was downloading it was at 8% (Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.26120.1542) (KB5041872))
I ended the task and my laptop was fine, every time I try to download the update it reaches 8% and starts lagging and using very high CPU
I contacted the tech team and they checked everything in my laptop and it was healthy and then he told me that the problem is with the update most likely since it is an insider program
I stopped updates for my own sake.
