Trying to install Windows Server 2019 Essentials in a VM. Causes a green screen system-wide lockup.
2016, 2019, and 2022 Insider Preview all installed fine. Re-downloaded .iso x2 in case of corruption.
Crash happens at first post-file copying reboot.
2019 iso is:

Thoughts?
Thx

Not 2019.
Windows Server 2022 is the one in insider channels at the moment.
You can get it from here:

Just want to add, please take a copy of crash data and relevant log files and submit them through the Feedback Hub app to the Windows Server team.
Windows Server, doesn't have Feedback Hub and you will need to do it using a Windows 10 PC and in the category select Windows Server.
This way Windows Server team would be able to investigate the issue.

But it's a released version of Server Essentials 2019 that I'm trying to install in Hyper-V on Win 10 Build 21286... It installs fine in Hyper-V on Win2012R2, so it's a Win 10 preview issue. And I did send feedback. No response...
Feedbacks in feedback hub don't immediately get responses, they take more time than forum posts, but be sure that developers will have a chance to review it.
also does it still happen in latest Windows 10 insider preview? currently Dev build 21322

Could you provide the source of that ISO file please?
where did you download it from?
This official page generates this ISO file:

Already tried In Place Upgrade (or whatever it's called now) x2 and no go.
It was an upgrade from 8.1 a bit ago so I'm going to go back to that and try the upgrade again.
If all else fails, I'll reinstall 8.1 from scratch and upgrade to the current Insider build.
Thx for all the thoughts...
