Downgrading from Dev to Beta without clean install

I am on the windows 11 Dev channel currently but want to go to the Beta build. I was told by a support specialist that i could download an older ISO and do a custom install with "setup.exe". However when i do so i get the error "This upgrade path is not supported. Please close Setup and relaunch from the root of the media or go back and pick a different installation choice." Does anyone know what i can do from here, bearing in mind losing my data isn't an option.

unfortunately because you select (leave personal files) -> therefore there is an Error.

You need to tick ( NIC ) and then everything will be removed and the system will be reinstalled in the Beta channel 

This is the only way to get rid of the Dev version.

Of course, so also install the stable version of Windows11
