chksdk made my drive inaccessable

Copper Contributor

I have to hard reset couple of times to make sure everything set in BIOS properly.

After couple of hard resets Windows 11 Pro Insider 22631.1825 said it needs to check my drive E: when booting which I using as a backup disk.

After couple of hours chkdsk reported nothing wrong with disk  but fixed some files and when PC restarts the drive not accessible at all. This drive was working very well before this.

I found Securtir tab of the disk properties all blank and unable to display current owner. Its all wiped out by chkdsk.

I run chkdsk with various switches and commands but none of them solve the problem.

So'I added back SYSTEM as the owner and Authenticated Users, Administrator and me (as user) gave the right permissions: then disk is now accessible.

Unfortunately most of the files gone and folders are empty and I have sequenced folders like .found0000, .found0001....
