Windows 11 & Server 2022 HLK kit guidance for creating new submission packages for Windows 11, v21H2

When creating a new project in the Windows 11 & Windows Server 2022 HLK, users will be presented with the option to create a Windows Driver Project ([Is Windows Driver Project] checkbox highlighted in yellow in below image). This option is currently intended for engineering and development purposes, not for creating official submissions. To create a project for proper Windows 11 & Windows Server 2022 certification, please DO NOT check this box. The resulting package generated from a Windows Driver Project will be blocked at the validation stage.

Is this option "[Is Windows Driver Project]" suitable for device installed inbox driver to test? (I think that 21H2 inbox driver should not meet Windows Driver requirements, is it correct?)

Or it is only used for IHV "Windows driver" engineering and development test.

Hi,

Yes, Inbox drivers are not required to go through WHCP. I would suggest not to use this for Inbox driver as well.

Es gibt jetzt HLK Test-Suiten für Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2022, die jeweils nur Treiber unter den dazu passenden Betriebssystemen testen.

Werden die mit Hilfe einer Test-Suite zertifizierten Treiber (z.B. Windows 11) auch unter den anderen Betriebssystemen akzeptiert? (Windows 10 und Server 2022)

Hello,

when trying to download HLK for windows server 2022, it is downloaded, but seems to me that the downloaded version is not supported on that machine? It saying it needs older server? When downloaded VHLK windows server 2022, it downloaded DC2019, and there machine with Windows 11 is visible but windows version unknown? Could you please help me with this, I need to re-validate 1 of our drivers for Windows 11...

Can I use Windows Server 2016 as my HLK server + HLKSetup version 2004 to certify my driver in Windows LTSC 2021 ?

We create HLK Project checked with "is windows driver project", and run all HLK test item, if have a solution to fix except re-run, thanks~

Please uncheck the secure boot option if it is enabled in Bios for Windows 11.

Estimada comunidad. Soy un usuario nuevo y aun no tengo experiencia en la comunidad, por tal motivo pido disculpas si no estoy en el foro correcto. Soy un ensamblador de computadoras de escritorio y necesito obtener una certificación de compatibilidad con windows 11 o 10 para mis equipos, por tal motivo solicito su ayuda y su guía para realizar dicha certificación, puesto que no cuento con ninguna experiencia sobre el tema y no se como empezar.
