Set Up School PCs Package Stuck At 47% For More Than 12 Hours

Copper Contributor

Hi

I've created a PPKG with the Set Up School PCs app from the Microsoft Store.

We have brand new Lenovo L390 laptops with the OOBE at startup.

When I plug in my USB with the PPKG on it, it says it will install the package.

The package resets Windows and when Windows is installing it always get stuck at 47%, see attachment.

The screen language is in Dutch.

I've attached a screenshot of my Package settings.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how do I fix it please?

You should do force shutdown and then boot in Recovery Environment and open Command prompt and type notepad or notepad.exe and open it and from file , open the Windows installer log files:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/windows-setup-log-files-and-ev...

Investigate log files to get some clue on what causing the issue.

@Reza_Ameri-Archived Thank you.

I found this file but I don't see anything right away

@JonasKeppens

Are they SSD or HDD hard disk?

Just for test download and run Windows 10 installer media instead of package and see whether it works?

From log files , I see number of "The system can't find the specified file" error which means something is wrong with your package.

You may check with Microsoft Support on configurating package and log file.
