Greetings.  The legacy MSTSC client for RDS had the mstscax.dll COM component that developers could use to orchestrate connections to terminal server environments, with things like connection events, disconnection events.  When will the new WVD client have a similar feature set, either through PowerShell, .NET interfaces, or COM?  Or if it already has such capabilities, can you circulate the docs for them?

@David Belanger what say you? :)

Great question @Andy Milford. The new client is very similar to MSTSC so you may be able to do this today. However, this might require a longer discussion outside this AMA to see if it works and what the needs are.

@David Belanger Sounds great.  If you have any documentation or sample code on, for instance, how to instantiate a new session from an RDP file or Feed Url (e.g. supplying/binding credentials, connecting, then listening to events) using C#, VB, etc in a Win Forms app, that would be awesome.  You've got my email I think, or if there's already public docs feel free to point me there.

Thanks,

Andy
