SSL Certificate properties for Windows Admin Center

Copper Contributor

We are preparing to deploy Windows Admin Center and have a few questions about the SSL Certificate.

We have a AD Certificate Authority installed and plan to create a certificate for WAC.  However I have not found any specifics on requirements for the certificate, specifically application policy and key size.

I am assuming that a normal webserver certificate will suffice (i.e. Server Authentication, not Client Authentication).

Secondly, I would also assume that it can handle 4K key size (i.e. not restricted to 2K).  We have had some devices (e.g. Cisco Firewall) that had to be 2K.

We have several webserver certificate templates already defined which may work.  What I am trying to avoid is the trial-and-error process of creating various certificates that don't work, only to find that I need to create a new certificate template special for WAC.

Any info would be great.

Thanks,

Eric
