Virtual Desktops are SO close to being Good in Windows 11, but have some really serious quirks that make it painful in comparison to the super-streamlined implementation in macOS.
example : If you open an app on VDesktop 2, switch over to VDesktop 1 while the app is still loading, the app will eventually open on VDesktop 1 instead of 2!. This is extremely frustrating if you use certain Virtual Desktops for specific apps - just constantly juggling the location of apps when opening them, or being forced to wait for an app to fully load so it stays on the correct desktop.
Solution : ensure the app loads on the desktop that was active at application launch, NOT the current desktop
