The emojis function (WIN + period) crashes windows every time.

Whether I press (WIN + period) or I choose the emoji panel with the mouse, the system crashes. When it comes back up, which does not always happen, a modal dialog box appears with the error message: Your session was logged off because DWM crashed. I have tried several things to fix this. The most recent having run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and • sfc /scannow. Neither of which found any errors or issues. I would really like to get this fixed. Can anyone help me with this?

Same here.

Not a huge issue, but sometimes I forget... It's annoying.

Yeah, it hangs, then kicks you to logon window with an error, and only lets you with second try back in; and video drivers get unrecognized when this happens too and it requires full reboot (to fix the drivers).

to fix re-enable: "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service" if you want to use emoji panel at all.

The problem is that it's a bloaty service (along with many others windows comes with lol) that can sometimes eat up resources.
