start menu icon stuck on left - fix back to centre?

start menu icon has stuck itself to the left, settings have taskbar aligned to centre

so how can this be fixed?

tried the registry alignment fix, no change.
changing in settings, no change.

so what's going on? surely theres a way to get it to be back in the centre properly.

and now all of a sudden, both the menu items and the icon itself are now on the left, even though the setting is still set to centre...

honestly, what on earth...

not to mention the disappearance of the date/time also

really not making anyone like windows 11 in a hurry...

so i got the menu to go back to centre again, but still, the taskbar icons, the start icon, and app icons are still on the left...

it really boggles my mind that there isnt anything about this when searching online and no seemingly obvious way to fix this...
