  1. Go to the Start menu and type "Default Programs" in the search bar.
  2. Click on "Default Programs" to open the Default Programs window.
  3. Click on "Associate a file type or protocol with a program" (or "Set default programs" in newer versions of Windows).
  4. Find the file type (e.g., .docx, .pdf, .jpg, etc.) that you want to remove the deleted app from the list.
  5. Click on it and then click the "Change program" button.
  6. In the "Open with" window, select the app you want to remove by clicking on the app's icon or name.
  7. Click on "Remove" to remove the app from the list.
It works for me, thanks!
