Is it even possible to Administrator Privileges in Windows 11?

Bought laptop = So far, fine

Run game = So far, fine

Clicked desktop icon for game = Access denied, you need Administrator Privileges

Returned to shop = They didn't know

Checks 17 different websites = Follows instructions

Joins Windows 11 Discussion = None the wiser

Any actual help from someone who actually knows how to do this would very much appreciated. Please ignore my tone, little tired after having the endless blind alley runaround seeking the Holy Grail of Windows 11 = Administrator Privileges

What happens when you right click on desktop icon of game and select Run as administrator.

If you're on standard account, access denied is normal for certain operations.

If you're on administrator account, can you perform operations which requires administrative privileges such as running apps as administrator.
