Forgot Android password? How to unlock Android without losing data

This is Aubrey and I need some help from the expert team. I have a backup phone (Samsung Galaxy S23) running Android 12. It has been weeks since the device is not powered on. Unfortunately, I forgot Android phone password when I was trying to unlock it today. Try a few password combinations but did not work.

I heard there are a couple of ways to unlock Android phone without losing data when you forgot Android password? Is this true? If yes, what is the correct way to do this on a Windows PC?

Steps to do when you forgot Samsung phone password:

1. Go to the Samsung Find My Mobile website.
2. Sign in with your Samsung account credentials.
3. Choose the device you want to unlock from the list.
4. You will see an option to "Unlock" your device. Click this, and follow the prompts to unlock your device.

Note: Samsung Find My Mobile allows you to unlock your device while retaining all your data, as long as your device is connected to the internet.

After performing a factory reset, the device will look and function as if it just came out of the box.

You will lose personal data, installed apps, system settings and downloaded files after factory reset!

Before performing a factory reset, it's important to back up your data to avoid losing everything. You can use Google Backup, transfer data to a computer, or store important files on an SD card or cloud storage.
