Finding and Erasing a Known-Faulty Version of Windows 11 on a Dual Booted Drive

Copper Contributor

Hey There,

I have a drive with two, separate OSs on them (I think). I installed Windows 11 via Windows 11 USB Key Fob and another Key Fob with Windows 11 on it. Two, separate versions and two separate Key Fobs.

Issue...

1. One of the Windows 11 installs is faulty. I already used the activation license for it.

2. I cannot find it any longer. I think I may have erased it but I am pretty sure I did not.

Closure...

1. I need to erase it. It is faulty and without an activation license.

How can I search my OS inventory on this Desktop to find what is there on my disks if I have a non-activated Windows 11 OS on it along with an activated Windows 11 OS too?

Seth

P.S. Please send guidance.

Okay and So,

I can find the Volume on the Disk but I cannot find it when in the OS (Windows 11 or Windows 10). I am not completely sure if it is Windows 11 or Windows 10 now.

Either way, it is faulty because I have not licensed it and it needs to be erased.

So, to recap...

1. When I boot, I can pick my OSs on Volume 1, Volume 2, or Volume 3.
2. When I boot into Volume 1, my main OS out of the drives, I cannot see Volume 3 (the faulty volume).
3. When I boot into Volume 2, my secondary OS (Windows 11), I can see Volume 1 but not Volume 3.
4. When I boot into Volume 3, I cannot see any of my OSs and I cannot update or upgrade or even connect to the Network.

I thought I could erase the Volume 3 from outside of Volume 3. Is there another way to erase the Volume 3 on Disk 1?

I can sign in, get to the OS on Windows 10/11, and on Volume 3 but without Networking capabilities.

So, I guess I will look up erasing Volumes on Windows 11 while I wait for you or someone to reply.

P.S. Can I erase the Windows version on Disk 1 at Volume 3 without losing data on my other drives and while using the same desktop?
