Cut and pasted rather than moved my music and pictures directories

Regular Visitor

Running out of storage on my C SSD I cut the music and picture shell folders out of my user directory and pasted them on my D hard drive. Later I learned I should have used the move function under the location tab so they would stay connected to my user directory.

The shell folder icons are no longer in my user directory. When I click on properties of the music and pictures folders in the D drive it shows they are located on D. When I click the location tab it says the files are stored under D:\Music or D:\Pictures.

Can I reverse what I have done by clicking the "Restore Default" button then using the move function in locations like I was supposed to do in the first place?

This is a simple mistake that, I would think, is commonly done. I am surprised there is no similar issue in this forum.
