"Break" meaning the start menu no longer opens. The start menu app/service simply stops working, even after the fullscreen app has been shut down.
Seems to be no way to fix it other than killing and restarting the start menu process with command prompt, since the process doesn't even show in the task manager.
1) Open command prompt.
2) Entering command to kill the process (usually automatically restarts after this)
taskkill /im StartMenuExperienceHost.exe /f
3) Entering command to restart the process if it doesn't automatically restart
start %windir%\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\StartMenuExperienceHost.exe
Pretty frustrating.
