Windows Explorer frozen from time to time

Copper Contributor

On my Windows 10 PC, Windows Explorer seems to freeze from time to time. I notice this because the clock in the lower right corner stays frozen.

When that happens, the Windows Explorer stops working. I can't even close a lot of apps. Nor can I restart the PC. If I try and click on restart, nothing happens.

I have to manually hit the restart or power off on my tower.

Is there any way to fix it?

Corrupted registry entries can cause issues with Windows Explorer. Try using a registry cleaner tool like CCleaner or Glary Utilities to scan and fix corrupted registry entries.
