Windows Edge - Chromium and Application Guard

With respect to the recent announcement of Edge changing its rendering engine to Chromium, how will this update affect current enterprise implementations of application guard? Will this technology be deprecated? What is the upgrade path is necessary?

the Windows Defender Application Guard is supported by default (with the need of an extension) in the new Microsoft Edge insider browser.
