I have one computer in my house that has issues with the Start Menu or the Search (magnify glass) not opening when I click on them. Basically the Start service is locked up. If I open Task Manager and do an end task on the Start process, they both start working again. After a while, it goes back to not working.
I reset the machine, same issue. I replaced the hard drive and did a full reinstall, same issue. Could this be something in the user profile? We use our online Microsoft accounts for login since we leverage Office 365 Home.
Generally perplexed and complicated as it is my wife's computer and she is confused on how I can't fix it. :(

@Jeremy Wood try switch to local account and check if problem persist?
Try update Windows and Graphic card driver.
