Windows 10 on a new hard disk

Copper Contributor

Can I install the Windows 10 found here to a new hard disk?

I don't have the best of luck with hard disk - the hard disk just died.

Any guidance are much appreciated.

Thank you

Hello @noob2020,

Yes, for new hard disk, you can make a clean install using bootable USB. You can download Windows 10 ISO file from link you mentioned and create bootable USB.

Refer this step-by-step guide:

Previous responses would help you out.

Just make sure new Hard Disk is working correctly and it doesn't have any bad sectors and Windows 10 be installed just fine.

You will benefit from a huge speed increase if you get a SSD, only for Windows 10 installation partition, C.
