WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

Copper Contributor
I had my laptop I bought from a computer store for 2 weeks now. i7 dual core, 16gb of ram. It ran like new but few days ago it froze and gave me an error. “Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info and then we’ll restart for you” it displays the error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR for a split second and displayed 0% and instantly restarted. Which brought me to a windows boot manager, with the only option saying “PCI LAN”. I press it and it goes black and says “>>Start pxe over IPv4”. You can’t do anything from there. I pressed the power button off and back on and it boots up normally. I wait for minutes, watching videos, boom! Froze and the same error. I’ve been trouble shooting but every time it seems the error occurs sooner

Hello @Kaiden_Wanna

Please run the following commands from CMD. Ensure you run CMD as an admin.

1-  DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

2-  fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\

3-  sfc /scannow

Run one by one, wait until the process is complete then run the next one.

This will basically try to repair Windows.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Jose
