Volume control

Copper Contributor

On the task bar along the bottom of my screen, there is a volume control icon for the speakers. For some reason it has stopped responding (both with left and right click).  The only way that I can now adjust volume is to go to the system page and set a single default volume level (for example 30%) for all purposes.  How can I get a working volume control icon back on the task bar?

Hello @Leslie1022,

Please run Playing Audio troubleshooter from Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all. See if it helps you.

Hope this helps!

Back to normal. I went to Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Sound/Sounds/Show Toolbar Band.

Toolbar icon is working again to control volume.
