Start menu icon text suddenly left aligned for no reason.

Copper Contributor

I recently did a clean install of the retail build and updated to preview version 22631.3672 about a week ago. Everything was working fine until today when I noticed that the text for the "Forbidden West" icon, which was fine yesterday, has now shifted to left alignment, but it's only affecting this one icon.

To test, I pinned a few more items like the Windows HDR Calibration and Nvidia Control Panel, and now all newly pinned icons are left-aligned. I'm not using any modifications for the Start menu or Windows Explorer; it's just the standard, unmodified Windows. This issue is quite puzzling. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this or how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have suddenly the same issue on windows 10. For me most of the icons have are affected.

Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings. Check the Scale and layout settings and ensure they are set to the recommended values. If you have multiple displays, make sure they are arranged correctly.

This happened suddenly so it's not happening due to faulty setup.

It was an issue on windows 11 a couple of months ago but now it has affected windows 10.

It is happening to workplace workstations as well and yes, everything is on recommended an also it has affected both single and multi monitor computers.
