Search Indexing Issue

Copper Contributor

Hey Techs!

Looking for some advise, I've got a user with a strange indexing issue.

I've tried most steps and feel like the service or machine has a potential corruption. But the user really doesn't want the laptop or profile to be rebuilt if we can help it.

I've ran SFC and DISM commands to check and repair the OS. I've also completed an update to version 2004.

This appeared to help a little, but the search index is becoming corrupt and in need of repair every few days now, and works for a while.

This is the current error that I'm getting

The search service has detected corrupted data files in the index {id=4810 - onecoreuap\base\appmodel\search\search\ytrip\tripoli\inverted\encodinglayer.cpp (600)}. The service will attempt to automatically correct this problem by rebuilding the index.Details:The data is invalid. 0x8007000d (0x8007000d)

Any ideas or does it look like I may need to rebuild?

Other steps taken for resolve

Manual Rebuild of index

Moved location of index

Excluded everything apart from the area the user wanted scanning (Outlook & Documents)

SFC /SCANNOW - All good

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth - all good

Hello @Enzo Faranda,

Please run Search and Indexing troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot. Let us know what it reports back.

Regards.
