RDC account name problem

I am using Windows 10 Pro. When I try to connect to my desktop with my laptop, RDC says that a user of my name is already connected and do I want to connect anyway. If I agree, I get connected but with a different profile. Previously, this was not the case. There were no questions and I would just get connected and have the same desktop and contents as when using my main computer. I am logging on with my same credentials as my desktop. I did have to reinstall Windows a few days ago. Could this have caused this behavior?

Can you share me the exact message you received while connecting? 

 

Also, try this. Run sysdm.cpl command. In System Properties, go to Remote tab. Click Select users, and in Remote Desktop Users window, verify the accounts listed. Remove any extra account and save changes.
