failed to cache the downloaded installer. Error: 0x80070005

Copper Contributor

I have the latest ver of win10.

Simply cannot get Google Earth to install.  I get the above error.

GE runs in Google Chrome however.

This has been going on ever since I put up this totally new Win10 install - on a totally new hard drive.

I have found no useful help anywhere.  Can anyone help even if only directing to a place where they might specialise in such as this?

Hello,
Do you also have a problem when using the Direct Installer? You should download it and run it with admin privileges.

Direct Installer 32bit:
https://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/advanced/current/googleearthprowin-7.3.2.exe

Direct Installer 64bit:
https://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/advanced/current/googleearthprowin-7.3.2-x64.exe

Best regards
Yes, I've tried that, again and again. I downloaded it again at your prompting and that made the 7th one of them. I do it again and again lest there be some minute difference in the versions or something - maybe just appealing to black magic - but, whatever, it doesn't help. Error code 2 again. https://imgur.com/AZ2eWjB
