Went to replace HDD with SSD in customer's Lenovo Desktop.
Had problem logging in to PC. Customer said never turned of PC and wasn't sure of password. Got it figured out and logged on. PC started like a new PC.
Found no files in the default folders, "Documents, Pictures, Downloads, etc. Generic Windows 10 new Desktop with all icons and all programs were installed.
When I go Local Disk (C:), Users, Owners Name, all the files are in their correct folders.
Customer said he never had to password login.
Found only one account in "Accounts" "Require Sign-in", "Never"
Only one user in "netplwiz".
When PC boots, 2 User names appear, lower left. One requires User name and password, the other only password. This with the no login config.
Could the original login be hidden or ????
Never had this before. Been Windows IT since Windows 98.

Hi @Peter Crane,
Starting with your first statement, when you replaced HDD to SSD, did the clean install was performed?
Or the machine is having multiple disks?
Or the backup was restored to SSD after clean install and then folder locations changed?
Regards.

Never got to installing the SSD.
What happened was I got logged in to a TEMP account.
Was finally able to fix using "Option 2" of this tutorial.
