Outlook plugin error

Is anyone else receiving this error with Viva Sales (Preview)?

 

I've updated Office, restarted my computer, etc.

 

Something went wrong with getting your customers

@igorman Can you please ensure that you and other users of Viva Sales have below privileges? We have already ensured that out-of-the-box Sales Person and Sales Manager roles already have these privileges. Please check if you have these privileges and add them. That should resolve things. Can you confirm if any other permissions are needed for the following error?

Trying to mark the external email as a customer, they are currently a contact in PROD CE

@igorman we are trying to improve our error messages (very soon) so that you can get more information. In the meantime, can you please follow below steps and provide us with the required information.

 

Step 1: Please logout of the connection, connect again and go ahead with marking contact. If this doesn't work, please follow the steps below

 

To report the issue along with sessionId, user should perform following steps -

  1. Open developer tools for their browser by pressing F12 key (while they are on the tab where viva sales add-in is open).
  2. Once developer tools window opens, user should navigate to the Network Tab.
  3. User should populate the search box with the following string - vivasales.dynamics.com/api.
  4. User should retry the scenario which led to the error.
  5. User should be able to see a network requests which is marked in Red in the Network Tab.
  6. User should click on the network request and then scroll down to Request Headers section.
  7. User should be able to see a header called x-ms-session-id which contains the sessionId. 
  8. User should copy the value of this header and provide it to Micrsoft while reporting the issue.
