EVENT TITLE:

Making the Team(s): Tips, Tricks and Tactics for Successful Teams Pilots

Event Abstract:

Before you roll out Microsoft Teams to your entire organization, it is recommended that you begin with a PILOT. To achieve the most realistic results, the pilot should involve actual users, mimic how they communicate and collaborate, and verify both technical and user experiences. This session will help you refine your launch plan and ensure you are ready for an organization-wide deployment. Together we will learn the basics of a Teams pilot, to include:

  • Enlisting your project stakeholders
  • Defining your project scope
  • Understanding coexistence and interoperability of Skype for Business and Teams
  • Choosing your upgrade journey
  • Preparing your environment
  • Preparing your organization

Speaker(s):

Aimee Long, a Principal Premier Field Engineer in Microsoft Services, with over 18 years of experience supporting US Public Sector Customers. Aimee started at Microsoft in 2001 in Customer Support Services (CSS) as a Support Engineer in Charlotte, NC. From there she moved to a Premier Field Engineer (PFE) role in Washington, DC. After completing her MBA, she took on a role in Redmond as Program Manager in OEM Operations, but realized that her true passion is working with customers directly in a technology-focused role. Aimee moved back to a Premier Field Engineer role and she will happily tell you that this is where she was meant to be. Today, Aimee lives in Melbourne, FL and continues to work with US Public Sector customers supporting Skype, Teams and Service Adoption. On any given day you can find her in her homes away from home – airplanes, hotels and at customer sites.
