I'd like to see an option that provides virtual print job management in the Azure environment rather than relying on on-prem solutions with connector installed on them. This means all the print jobs would cycle through Azure, encrypted.

@Mika Lähdesmäki - Universal Print already supports this and in fact going serverless is our primary scenario.

Printer needs to have the ability to directly connect with Universal Print - this is already offered by a large variety of printers (check for Universal Print ready printers on Partner Integrations - Universal Print | Microsoft Docs).

There are printers that cannot connect to Universal Print directly. Connector is required as a "proxy" between these printers and Universal Print.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
