Universal Print on RDS Server 2016

Copper Contributor

Hello!

I have a client that would benefit well from Universal Print as all of their servers are virtually in Azure. We have installed the connector on the RDS server, registered the printer, and licensed a test user with Microsoft365. On his computer everything works great! We were able to add the cloud printer by clicking "select printers in my organization" that appeared after it was registered and he was properly licensed.

However, when any remoteapp is opened that is hosted on the RDS server, that printer does not appear, nor does there appear to be a way to add it. Is there a way to get the cloud printers populated in RDS?

Not supported, requires Windows 10/11 client 1903 or higher

Have you tried using Server 2022 and passing through the client printer? While not supported it would stand a higher chance of working
