The users picture seems to actually have two purposes and they conflict making one of them difficult to reach.
Hovering over the picture brings up some information, clicking brings up different though somewhat overlapping information. However, if you aren't quite quick enough, the hover box triggers then you click to get the sidebar but the hover box does not go away and I can't find a way to make it go away without having to cancel everything and start again - very annoying.
One of the most common reasons for triggering the sidebar is to try and find out what updates you have so why not include that in the hover box and make it clickable so you need the sidebar less. Or alternatively, when you click the image, the hover should go away. Actually you need both of those things.
