This idea came while I was using my laptop at the University. I didn't realize that I wasn't using a power saving mode and my battery was drown too fast. So, I thought... What if some configurations (like which energy mode) auto-active while detecting which wifi am I using?

For example, when the laptop detects that I connected to the University or Office wifi, it automaticly activates the power saving mode. After that, when I connect to my home wifi the power saving mode deactivates and the high performance mode activates.

I think this idea would be interesting because users won't need to use their gps location to activate this rutines.

The idea could be apply to many "configurable" things such as the energy mode, brightness, volume (automute), blocking some programs (like videogames or distractions)...

Thanks you for reading my and I hope my English isn't so bad (Sorry, i'm not native)

Thanks for the idea! However, this space is only for ideas specifically for the Microsoft Tech Community website, not for Microsoft or other products. Sorry about that.
