There are times when discussions would goes like infinite loop without end and it turns from valid and healthy discussion to argument and it is not benefit to community and when user wanted to find information or involve in discussion , they would see long list of useless post and it keeps going. Therefore, there is a need for ability to lock discussion where no one else could continue comment or discuss. Sometimes , it is important for old posts , so it won't go at the top (due to new discussion) and cause confusion. This ability should be in hand of moderators.
