Hello,

I can't access anymore to the MCT lounge.

My MCT certification is available until 27th November 2024.

NB: I was able to access before during this year.

Can you help please?

Regards

Thanks for posting, please request access to the MCT Lounge via this link.

If you still receive a declined notice, check that the email address associated with your Microsoft Tech Community account matches the primary email address that you get your notifications from the MCT program from, and then follow the steps in the 'declined' notice to raise a support request with the MCT Team.

Unfortunately the Microsoft Tech Community team can not assist / answer queries about MCT status as we have no access to their systems.

Hi, thank you for your feedback.
I still get an access denied when requesting access. I will raise a ticket to MCT team.
Regards
Thank you for the tips.
But I did as you explained (linked a work account and login with it) and it is still the same issue unfortunately.
Same problem for me. My Microsoft account always was associated with my Learn profile but I still don't have access to the MCT lounge, title plan or the download centre. If I try to request access to the MCT lounge it says my account doesn't exist. I'm slowly working through this with support.
I have same issue. the link https://aka.ms/TechCommunity/RequestAccess is not working either. Can anyone share how this is getting solved?

@Amir_Hemani Here is the request link:

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/request-access

To get a solved issue, you have to contact MCT team. They sent me a private message, and now it's working for me with another account that was linked.

Hi sorry about that - this was my error the aka.ms link is https://aka.ms/TechCommunity/AccessRequest but it takes you to the same link provided above.
I have the same error, but when requesting access I get a "Role Denied" error message. I am sure I am using the correct account and email as seen in the transcript. I am also an MCT, renewed my MCT status in May 2024.
Same issue as of 8/28/2024. Access Denied. Link not working.

Link your Visual Studio Subscription email address to your Learn Profile, and then use the same email to request access to the MCT Lounge. This should resolve the issue

Solution

Hi all,

I am going to do one (hopefully correct!) update to this post with the correct link and the next steps, then I will lock this thread, keep in mind that our team can not help you with MCT access and follow the steps in the declined notification to contact the MCT Support team.

I just don't want you guys wasting lots of time posting here when the best bet is to contact the MCT Team directly.

If you are an MCT then, first of all go to https://aka.ms/TechCommunity/WhoAmI and check the email address your using to access the community is the email address you have registered with the MCT team for your certifications (I don't believe it is necessarily the same email you use in your learn profile).

If your email doesn't match

Choice 1: If you are using a Personal Microsoft Account you can go to the account portal and change your primary alias to the desired email address, it may take up to 24 hours to update in the Microsoft Tech Community, once updated you can request access.

Choice 2 : Re-register for the Microsoft Tech Community with the same email address you are using for certifications and then claim the access role

Choice 3: Request access vis the steps below and when you get a decline notice follow the steps to contact MCT support and see if you can change the email that the MCT Program is using.
If your email does match follow these steps:

  1. goto https://aka.ms/TechCommunity/AccessRequest and click the request button.
  2. If you get an approved notification then you can access the MCT Lounge by coming back to the Microsoft Tech Community homepage and clicking on Lounges >> MCT Lounge
  3. if you get a declined notice then follow the steps to contact MCT Support and provide the information requested.

Apologies for any inconvenience
