The Tech Academy is now available from the Microsoft Tech Community navigation bar. The Tech Academy unifies Microsoft's learning and readiness platforms for IT Professionals and Developers into a single place. It gives you access to a centralized repository of readiness content and lets you track your progress as you complete it.

Our content library allows you to search across nearly 20 channels, including Microsoft Virtual Academy, Channel 9 and docs.microsoft.com, with more to follow, saving you space in your browser favorites.

To help you on your learning journey we have also created structured Learning Pathways. So whether you are looking to kick-start your cloud knowledge, find out more about Microsoft 365 or learn about the latest updates to our existing products and feature sets, we have a pathway to fit your learning needs. And the best news is, that whenever new content becomes available, we will add it to the relevant learning pathways. As a subscriber to a learning pathway, you will then be notified to come back for the new materials if you want to stay up to date. This way, you will never stop learning and have a single place to find out more about our latest product advancements.

If you missed the Microsoft Ignite Conference last month or want to review some of the content, do not worry we have you covered with specific pathways for all Microsoft Ignite materials.Microsoft Ignite Content on Tech Academy PageMicrosoft Ignite Content on Tech Academy Page

We also want to give you the power to keep track of your own learning progress. That is why we have created the Workspace and Dashboard area. Using these areas you can set deadlines, see what you have already achieved and how you compare to the rest of our community of learners. My Workspace page on Microsoft Tech AcademyMy Workspace page on Microsoft Tech Academy

This looks great and should be a very useful resource for hopefully, not only techies and devs but also power users and enthusiasts as well.

I really like that it draws together so much content from different sources and is always updated as new content is released.

I think the main thing will be to get the word out and make sure people know about the Tech Academy and what they can get from it.

Doing my bit to promote the Tech Academy, I have written a getting started guide on the TechNet Wiki - Microsoft Tech Academy: Getting Started.

Why can't I login with my work (Office365) account? Why is the login only for LIVE accounts?

Silver Contributor

Thanks @Deleted, I really appreciate that.

Thank you @Kim Kischel, the Tech Academy rocks, so it was fun writing about it.

@Cary Siemers Tech Academy is an integral part of the Tech Community and aimed for a one-profile experience here for our initial launch.

I fully understand why you'd like to see this integrated with your O365 account and we're certainly looking into a closer integration for the future.

Is it only me or is Tech Academy broken? For days now, I've been getting this error from Chrome and Edge:

CHROME:

Attackers might be trying to steal your information fromacademy.techcommunity.microsoft.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more

NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

academy.techcommunity.microsoft.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to academy.techcommunity.microsoft.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be academy.techcommunity.microsoft.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit academy.techcommunity.microsoft.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

EDGE:

The website’s security certificate is not yet valid or has expired.

Error Code: DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_DATE_INVALID

Because this site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security, you can’t continue to this site at this time.

Thanks for posting, we are aware of this and are working to fix it. The problems started on 14th March and I will update this thread as soon as its fixed.
